Kelley started incorporating “foundational” financial planning into her practice years ago and has become the impetus for this book.
As the architect of her clients financial dreams, she was hired to put the finishing touches on their financial house – the doors, windows and the decorating. But no one was taking the opportunity to ensure that the structure was built on solid ground or that it had a foundation at all. And so Kelley set out on a path of dedicating her education and research to understanding the factors and beliefs that make us think and feel about money. She also wanted to discover how to go about making the life changing actions that will free us from guilt and worry and help us look at money as a tool for creating the life we have always wanted.
